15th International Meeting of the Worked Bone Research Group
The 15th International Meeting of the Worked Bone Research Group will be held in Paris in May 2024. "The Worked Bone Research Group (WBRG) is an official Working Group of the International Council for Archaeozoology (ICAZ) since June 2000. The purpose of the WBRG is to improve communication between individuals studying worked animal hard tissues (especially bone, antler, and ivory) with special emphasis on archaeological finds. A broad diachronic, and multi- disciplinary approach is emphasised in order to promote the exchange of ideas concerning attitudes to and procurement of raw materials, technology, and cognitive aspects of bone working.”
The 15th WBRG International Meeting is organised around 8 sessions. Five thematic sessions will address current issues in the study of hard animal materials industries. Three other sessions (6 to 8) are open to all issues related to the objectives of the WBRG.
