Freie Universität of Berlin is one of Germany's most prestigious public higher education institutions and a member of the UNA Europa Alliance. It was awarded the German Excellence Initiative – Exzellenzinitiative in 2007 and 2012.
Its archaeology teaching programme, in the Department of Ancient Studies – Altertumswissenschaften, offers a wide range of courses from undergraduate to doctoral level, from prehistory to antiquity, and lead numerous archaeological sites around the world. This institution is particularly renowned for its expertise in the archaeology of Neolithic migration and urbanisation in the Greek and Roman worlds.

Universidad Complutense Madrid – UCM

The University of Complutence in Madrid is a public higher education institution and member of the UNA Europa Alliance. UCM is among the most important university in Spain. It provides a very complete cursus in Mediterranean archaeology, from Prehistory to historical periods and its Department of Archaeology of the Americas is internationally recognised.
Its History of Art department also has a Restoration – Preservation of Cultural Heritage teaching cursus, under which students and professors can take part in exchange and mobility programs, directly linked to our own Conservation Restauration des Biens Culturels – CRBC Master's degree.

Public institution of higher education and member of the UNA Europa Alliance, the University of Bologna is one the oldest universities in Europe and one of the most important in Italy for Human Sciences. It has a rich programme in archaeology (Department of History and Cultures – Storia Culture Civilità), with a cursus on Prehistory and Protohistory in Italy and the Orient, Etruscology, Roman Archaeology, Medieval and Byzantine archaeology, and Archaeology of the Americas.
The Archaeology Section has developed projects closely allied to the EUR’s themes, especially in landscape and migration archaeology, as well as running excavations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
The Heritage and Museums Master’s programme, under way since the beginning of the 2018 academic year, has enabled awarding of double degrees, student exchanges and new synergies in heritage promotion studies, especially in archaeology.
One of the objectives is to continue developing student mobility (double diplomas, even degrees granted at the European level in the name of Una Europa), but also for professors and researchers, promoting thus circulation and updating of knowledge.
